Grade 7, Geometry, Cluster B (solve real-life and mathematical problems involving angle measure, area, surface area, and volume). The full standard asks students to use facts about supplementary, complementary, vertical, and adjacent angles in a multi-step problem to write and solve simple equations for an unknown angle in a figure.
Scope note: this generator covers three of the four angle-pair facts — supplementary, complementary, and vertical. General "adjacent angle" problems (two angles sharing a vertex and a side, without a fixed sum) aren't a separate problem type on this page yet.
Builds on earlier informal angle work and leads directly into 8.G.A.5's triangle angle sum and, in high school, angles formed by parallel lines cut by a transversal.
